Golden Section and Geometric Construction/Deconstruction

A series of drawings I did constructing the subjects using the golden ratio. Drawing starts from a single square. The use of spectral color in the harmonics illustates the order in which the lines were constructed. The first lines are red, then moving through the spectrum to the final lines which are violet.

In 2007 and 2006 I took a week long workshop with Alex_Grey and Allyson_Grey on creating visionary art. The workshop focuses on various seeing practices, cultivating the creative spirit and translating inner truth to the page.

Art has always been a wonderful coping mechanism for me. These are all pieces that were done as a necessary expression of some very deep emotions, or some idea that I could not get out of my head any other way.

*Yes, this is a term that I made up.
